Stone Apperance Glitch

The block stone has a nether portal image and a fire symbol on it. I'm running Windows 7, 1.4.2. I have no idea how to produce the bug, just play my JAR of Minecraft. I included a screenshot for proof. Also, I encountered this being in Creative and Survival.
