LAN Skin Glitch As Of 1.7.10 Not Fixed

When opening a LAN world and allowing someone to join, everyone sees the host's skin as Steve. This glitch has been going on since 1.7.10 and has remained unresolved for some time. In 1.8 after adding the Alex skin, the host is now visible as Alex to everyone who joins their world. This needs to be fixed because it is rather annoying towards people who worked very hard on their skin because they want people to be able to see it. Attached is an example of this issue:
