Cant join any servers or worlds after I loaded up 1.10 pre

I cant join worlds or servers

What I expected to happen was...:
When I started 1.10 pre 1 I tried to join my friends server he updated it for this release.

What actually happened was...:
I tried to join I would be on for a few seconds and then crash completely.When I changed updates to 1.9.4 the same thing started going own with every server
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open 1.10 pre
2. ...Try to join server of that but crash.
3. ...Effects servers of every update and the same thing happens
