speed of natural regeneration, mobs speeds

What I expected to happen was...:
that the hp regeneration from 2 hearts to ten can take at least 15 seconds and mobs speed is slow and not faster than the player
What actually happened was...:
i ate stake and i had only 2 hearts of hp and its was fully hp in 5 seconds!
i attacked a skeleton and zombies and they has more speed than me!
