Setting Jump key to ENTER/RETURN makes you jump when finishing text

I have my jump key set to ENTER/RETURN, and whenever I am typing and click ENTER/RETURN to complete my entry, my player jumps. This becomes aggravating, as some plugins in servers require you to stay still i order for the command to execute. The jump cancels the command. There was a report about this on October of 2015, but it wasn't resolved.
