Can't interact with chests or redstone after Portal-travel

Every time I go through a Nether portal, none of my buttons or chests (in either dimension) will open unless I re-log. I click my buttons and nothing happens...it doesn't seem like tick lag because no matter how long I wait, it doesn't do anything.
At first I thought it may be Optifine, but the bug still occurs consistently without it.
I don't think it's related to Chunk-loading errors because it still happens with Optifine, which has improved those issues significantly for me.
Again, it's completely fine after I re-log but I have to do it every time I go through a Nether portal, for both dimensions.
