Making the new Blacksmith houses out of wood wasn't quite a good idea.

Honestly, I don't think the environment matters for this issue. The blacksmiths like the acacia one are made of wood, but like all blacksmith housing, they contain the lava pools in them. The lava is burning down the structure, so, it seems you need to make them out of something else.
