Magma block not taking the light given to them

I was playing with this really cool block and i found out that when you go to an unloaded chunk, the light level of the block is reduced by a certain amount, if you gave it a new light level by its own property of taking the light. This is quite annoying, and i hope it's a bug, not a feature.
