It rains instead of snows in all my worlds

On my ps3 in all of my previous worlds and in any new ones I make it will rain instead of snow in any snow biome. Whether I activate the weather myself or let in run naturally it still happens. It is fully updated as of May 12, 2016 when I posted this.
