Big server lists slow down or freeze ping in Multiplayer

When refreshing Multiplayer list or it doesn't ping right or it pings very slow (some minutes to show motd and stuff)

First image is what I see for the first time, when I open the multiplayer for the first time.
Second is what I see when I press "Refresh", "F5" or go back and enter again in Multiplayer (this image still for a long time, pinging infinitely).
Last one is what is expected to see (2nd/3rd try waiting a lot)

In somewhere 1.7 they resolved this, but came back ~1.8+ and now it is super-slow to F5. It's faster to close the game and reopen...
