Wheat Seeds Unplant Themselves

In seemingly random tilled dirt blocks, planted seeds will "unplant" when they are updated. This happens when they grow naturally, another seed is planted next to them, or a block is placed beside them.

I haven't tried planting other crops, or recreating this issue in a new world.
