Minecraft crashes upon launch if MSI Afterburner and Rivatuner Statistics Server are open

I use MSI afterburner in order to control the fan speed of my GPU. Afterburner also offers an On-Screen-Display and to do that it launches another process, RTSS.exe (Rivatuner Statistics Server).

When I try to open the Minecraft launcher and have these open, it instantly closes.

However, when I close these processes it works fine.

Note: No crash reports are created.
