Whenever I try to play on a single player world or server, the game always crashes and returns back to the launcher with an error message.

Whenever I try to play on a single player world or server, the game always crashes and returns back to the launcher with an error message.

What I expected to happen was...:
I expected to just log onto a world and play the game.

What actually happened was...:
The game crashed and went back to the launcher.
