Crash when Flowing Water hits top of Nether Portal Block

There was a layer of Nether portal blocks I had to get to. I used a water bucket and right when the water hit the top of the portal, I got this crash: http://pastebin.com/08pFWMny This crash will repeat when reloading the world.
