1.9 - Stuck in boat

After traveling in one direction for two minutes, tried to exit the boat using the standard control scheme. Could not exit boat. Tried to break boat by running into things to exit, boat is indestructible. I do not know if this can be reproduced as I can't get out of the boat to get back inside the boat.
