1.9 menu lag

For whatever reason, all the menus in 1.9 (options, main, pause, etc.) lag like crazy. If you swing your mouse around, the button highlights can't keep up and the background is very choppy.

I will also mention that I haven't noticed any lag fixes in the 1.9.3 snapshots.
