chest content not saving when filled up right before save&quit

Items freshly placed in a chest disappear after leaving the game with save&quit

Steps to reproduce:

1. Empty inventory in a chest
2. Right after that quit the game using save&quit to title
3. Log back in your world
4. No items in the chest, no items in inventory

I was able to reproduce this bug three times in two different worlds (created in 1.7 and 1.9) with double chests.

Unable to reproduce bug using single chest.

Similar problems have been reported for other versions (MCPE-8233 and MCPE-8326 for instance) but not sure if relevant and did not see it for 1.9.2.
