chunks replacing other chungs

Me and my friend were playing on his minecraft server, when suddenly out of nowhere, There is half a house with some water around it replacing a forest like area, than later, it started spreading by loading in a bridge over some water and than a pool of water. This is a very dangerous bug and I personally hope that it's not only happening to us
