My version of Minecraft PE WAS 1.16.40 . Out of the blue it switched to an old.. or new..? version, which is 1.16.100 . It happened while I was browsing on the servers list when the app suddenly went black and rebooted. To my surprise the app displayed that Minecraft updated to a 'newer' version, which is 1.16.100 . This unintended change kept me from playing on servers and is really disappointing. Since Google playstore has updates button, wouldn't it be nice if people just manually update their minecraft when they want to??

Resolution: Unresolved → Invalid
You should be making an issue on the MCPE project. 1.16.100 is a newer version as 100 is larger than 40 (the zero's matter).
The app updated on Nintendo earlier than intended so it could not play on server/realms until 1.16.100 was released for other devices.
