Switch minecraft keeps freezing then crashing, which resulted in a bunch of items getting removed from inventory.

My friend and I were playing, he collected a bunch of items in shulker boxes, then my game had frozen. The world was created on my switch, so I had to close the world. We logged back on and there were tons of items missing from our backpacks. My inventory was missing beds I was about to place down before it crashed, and his was missing several shulker boxes including items such as, a netherite chestplate, several brewing stands, lots of diamonds and other ores, and lots of other important things to us.
