When connected to dedicated server, I cannot craft some items such as redstone lamps or signs

When connected to server, I cannot craft items such as redstone lamps or signs. I am not sure how many items this issue extends to. Even though I am inputting the correct recipe (double checked by several sources, including the official wiki), the result of the crafting recipe is not appearing in the output window.

Additionally, many items do not appear in the quick-crafting menu, despite having the necessary resources in my inventory.
