Glitch with cake

In the iphone mobile version of Minecraft, there's a glitch when crafting cake that makes the cake itself disappear. I'm in a mushroom island seed on survival mode. My inventory was not over full and there were many open spaces for the cake. When I crafted it the image appeared for a moment glitched out and disappeared. Then my 3 iron buckets were on the floor instead of one of the empty spaces in my inventory. It happened twice. Once with the buckets in my inventory. Then once with them on the floor. Maybe a code error in the path of the item or something. I'm not knowledgeable on the subject.
