The controls dissapering to where I have to uninstall it and reinstall it to

My game as well as other people's games has been glitching where the controls are not working such a the going into the inventory and switch to switching things in the hotbar the things that work is placing blocks if you already had a block in hand before they dissapering opening items such as chests or the buttons for moving crouching jump and the chat and menu button  when it glitches the controls dissaper the only I have figured out how to fix it is uninstalling and reinstalling I was playing on a survival world and looking around when it dissapered around a hour or two from when I started playing it also happened when I played in creative and place wither roses down it would be amazing if you could fix it I do understand if you can't fix it due to convid-19 it still would be awesome if you could hope anyone who reads this has a nice day  this happened on Minecraft pocket edition
