However, this issue is Invalid.
Minecraft Bedrock is currently on version 1.14 which you mentioned you are currently on. 1.16 is only in BETA which means your friends have opted in to be BETA testers. To play with them they will need to downgrade to the release version or you will need to update to the BETA. Keep in mind though the BETA is for testing only and is incomplete and has numerous bugs that should be expected.
