Hi,

Can you please elaborate on what isn't working, from your report it isnt clear, including information such as what you expected to happen, what actually happened, steps to reproduce and screenshots showing the expected behaviour (if it exists in singleplayer or multiplayer worlds) will help me confirm this issue for you.

I'm going to ask a mod to set this report to "Awaiting Response" just while we wait for some more detail, however please know that as soon as you reply the ticket will be re-opened.

Hi, so when I set the gamerule "sendcommandfeedback" to true for some reason it changes back to false this is on a server that I host. the screenshot included is from the console for the server showing that i set it to true but it went back to false hopefully this helps

Thanks for that.

I'm not able to replicate this issue on my server, see below output. This indicates it may be an issue with either the method you're running the server or something specific to your world.

Because Mojang don't release BDS for Docker this bug report is invalid unless we can replicate it on a standard install. I was hoping it was a bug I could replicate for you but I can confirm, on a Windows install, this functions as expected. I'll try to find time to test on Ubuntu as well. I would suggest copying your world over to a normal vanilla install and test it again there to see if the issue is world specific.

Ionic

Edit: I also just realised I don't get the same return you do when running "gamerule sendcommandfeedback false". Are you running a modified install or an old version?

I just started a new server for testing and it seems to be world-specific because it did not enable in a single player world

Sorry I don’t understand your comment, can you elaborate at all?

If you believe it to be world specific you may need to upload a copy of your server files for a volunteer to confirm it.

You’ll need to use something like OneDrive or Google Drive and link to it here.

Hey Leader,

Unfortunately I still have no issues running that command when running your world against a vanilla EXE. Just to confirm the repro steps are just:

  1. gamerule sendcommandfeedback (check current value)
  2. gamerule sendcommandfeedback true/false (the opposite of current setting)
  3. gamerule sendcommandfeedback (check value has changed)

What you're reporting is that after the 2nd command the value doesn't change, correct?

I did notice a bunch of files in your game files indicating a potentially modified server executable, I just want to check, you've made no modifications to the server at all?

The only other possibility is that it is a linux specific bug. I'll have to leave this open in the hopes that someone else with a linux install can test it as I dont have one at the moment (RAID array died on my test box).

Ionic

I have made no changes my self to the server I have added some behaviour packs but that is it. however as this is a docker install so you can find the source files here: https://github.com/itzg/docker-minecraft-bedrock-server

Unfortunately we need to be able to replicate it on a vanilla Linux or Windows installation, any distributions not provided by Mojang cannot be logged as a bug because Mojang don't support it.

If its only present on the Docker image it would be the creator you would need to go back to.

Ionic

I see the same thing on my DBS running on fedora.

Hi Devin,

If you're able to provide more information on how to reproduce the issue I'm happy to have it confirmed.

Unfortunately I built both a Windows and Linux server and tested it using a new install as well as world files provided by Leaderbot and was unable to replicate the issue. It needs to be reproducible on the vanilla files otherwise the issue could be one introduced by the many third party wrappers and plugin programs floating around.

Cleaning up old tickets: This ticket had been set to 'Awaiting Response', but has not received a response from the reporter (~3 months+) so is being closed as Incomplete. If you feel this is still a valid issue then please comment, or create a new ticket following the Issue Guidelines which includes steps to reproduce the problem.
