Hi Morgan,

Are you using a "Bedrock Dedicated Server" or are you just joining friends from within the game? If the issue is the latter you might be better served heading to one of the community support options where other Minecrafters can help you work out your technical problem or help you narrow down your issue for a more thorough report (explained here).
