Minecraft PS4 user 2 control issues

When playing in a world that I (the host) have set as creative a guest user joins my creative world as survival. I figured out how to fix that for User 2, however User 2 cannot get any items when they open the creative menu. This is the menu where you can take any item/block you need. I (the host) can do so, but User 2 cannot. I see that when User 2 opens the creative menu and tries to get a block it glitches. It quickly shows that item about to be put into an inventory space but it immediately disappears. So when User 2 tries to get something out of the creative menu it won’t let them. This is not a controller issue because the user can still play and do everything else, but it can’t get any items from the creative menu. 

When playing as User 2 this is the scenario that happens:

1. Sets game to creative mode
2. Presses Square to open the creative menu
3. Goes to click on a block 
4. Presses X or Triangle 
5. The item doesn’t go into my inventory despite pressing the buttons to do so

This to me is a serious bug issue and makes it almost impossible to play in creative with a guest considering they can’t access the best part about creative mode. Unlimited resources.
