1.8.x server version not available

Not specifically a bug, 1.8 just came out a few hours ago and the server software will be released soon. Probably needs some tweaking before public release.

Me too. As of right now, your only option may be to pull the world files out of the server and run them as your own world. 

I know this is an alpha release, but it has been very stable and enjoyable, and I hope the server release cadence will match the client application!

when 1.8 is out how will do we update im using a Ubuntu vps btw
