Reopening world inventory cleared

When playing minecraft on survival mode on ps4 bedrock edition and using the stronghold below seed,I finished playing for the day and closed the game when I reloaded the world the next day to continue where I left off I found that any items that were in my inventory or equipped as armour had been deleted from the world and I was unable to recover the lost items
