Zombie constantly drop what it is holding and/or wearing

Is this only happening on a Dedicated Server, Featured Server, realms, multiplayer or singleplayer? What plaform/device are you using?

we play on pc, xbox and mobile. also happened on 1.18 and 1.19

Now it has happened again for another player. He plays on Xbox. 2 zombie dropping string

Am one of the member of this server. The problem seems to only occur with specifically the zombie. Most of the times it is holding string in it's hand. But did also occur when it picked up my friend's armor.

Now it has happened 2 more times in a short time. So now it's several times a day. Most often for those who play on xbox

All the last few times the bug has hit it has been on Xbox. And once on the mobile 

This happens daily but only on xbox and mobile not on windows

Here it happens for an Xbox player on the server. Writes for them when they do not really know how to bug report

Do you use any resource/behavior packs? Can you please upload copy of affected world? If it exceeds file size limit you can use OneDrive or similar file hosting service and share link.

We have had a break and started playing again and just before the break we had this senario once (1.19) but now that we have started playing again, it happens several times a day..

Were you able to reproduce it on 1.20.31? I used your world and zombies didnt drop items as you described. Any specific server.properties settings?

Yes we still have these problems in 1.20.32.03 had to put a commando block that kills zombies every 2 minutes.

Does it occur only with naturally spawned zombies, or spawning them manually also cause them to drop items?

Only naturally spawned zombies. Could be under the ground that you can't see. You just notice that it starts to lag massively

Can you export and upload the world and the resource packs used and affected? If the file size is too big, you can upload it elsewhere (OneDrive for example) and link here.
