Creative mode - missing items in picture list

Creative Mode list items only show Bone Block - Construction Tab, bones - Nature but where's the bone meal?

I had to show kids to take bones and craft on table but  there was no bone meal under any of the other tabs that I could see 

There is glow dust by glow stone and blaze dust by blaze rods

After giving up and showing kids you could dye sheep, leather, I saw Bone Meal ... it is in the dye drop down.   Bone Meal is not a dye ... Bone meal makes white dye and kids even think it should be next to bones in Nature tab, and not in the dye list since it does dye anything it is ingredent to make dye like flowers and ink sac why are those not listed under dye then.
