unable to connect to world

hi, i’m a 17 yo student that paid for mcpe on my ios,who just wants to enjoy her newly purchased app, sorry in advance, english isn’t my first language. so anyway, this has been going on ever since i purchased minecraft, so me and my bf are in a ldr, so we love to spend our time playing our fave game, which is mcpe, but the thing is, we can’t join each other’s world, it kept on saying “unable to connect to world “ we tried everything, literally EVERYTHING, wentried every tutorial on yt, things we know, ALL but it still keeps on saying that, please fix it, please. how can we enjoy this if this issue keeps on going? i wasn’t that satisfied with my purchase tbh, so please fix this issue, or tell what else should we do, but again, as i said, we did everything to make it work but nothing happened, so i’m assuming the problem isn’t bc of us, or something wrong we did, it’s the app. please fix this, hear me out, thank you <333
