Maps and Signs naming issue

ok I think I added the video ok but plz let me know if I have not and what formats work best.

OK so with the Signs I can type text to add to them but as soon as I click off to make it appear the text just disappears. This happens every single time, making it hard to label or show direction for minecart tracks

The issue with the maps is when I go to name the map it changes to ##### no matter what I type. I have alot of maps so when I cant see the name it makes it hard to organize or even know which map you have. this also happens every single time and it does the same thing in the anvil.

Is anyone able to help?
