It won't let me connect to multiplayer and invite to a server.

I bought Minecraft on Android in the Playstore to play with my boyfriend in multiplayer. He plays from the PS4, every time we want to play the 2 of us in a world that we create it does not let us. We get "Unable to connect" and we can never play together. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, restarting my cell phone, logging out of my account and logging back in and every other solution that comes up, clearing cache etc. It's not my internet as there is a good connection, unfortunately it doesn't let us invite each other to play on a server to play. The funny thing is that this problem only happens with me, as he plays with his friends on ps4, computer without problem. My cell phone is high end so that can not be the problem.
