Exiting The End Glitch (Possibly The Nether as well)

So, every time a player leaves the end, we die and lose our items. Except, we do not die. Our screens freeze and says "Generating World", I tried to move around it by restarting my game, but it wipes my entire inventory and experience levels. I don't know how this is occurring, but I thought it'd be best to bring this to you, as I would assume this could be a serious issue.
