Constant crashing

I have been playing for a while. No issues until the last update. Now the mobile game crashes on my iPad after just a few minutes in a game. I cannot build anything unless it is in a realm. The game first glitches or freezes, destroys or throws blocks in random spots and then crashes to my Home Screen.
