Fall damage is broken when server-authoritative-movement is off
You take fall damage when jumping from a height of two blocks or more above the ground. Fall damage should only be taken when you are jumping from three or more blocks above the ground. Only occurs on dedicated server but not client-side worlds.

Yes, it still affects the latest version. I have tested it.ย
This issue can be resolved by changing server-authoritative-movement in the server.properties file to server-auth instead of client-auth. When in client-auth, fall damage values are broken, whereas in server-auth, the fall damage values are restored to normal.
Yes. Fall damage has been broken on Bedrock edition for a while. Sometimes you take no fall damage, but sometimes you take a bunch out of nowhere. Iโm pretty sure itโs just based on performance.
Please see
MCPE-120140as this is being tracked there as it affects all of Bedrock, not just BDS.
