Multiplayer?

I used to be able to play multiplayer with my friends on the app all the time but ever since some of the latest updates i haven't been able to play with them at all i go to the friends icon and it shows that the server is available but when i tap on it, it says "unable to connect to world" it's been like this since the last 2 updates. It's not because of the internet because we were connected and on the same internet and it still didn't work. we sent each other invites and it didn't work. we made sure we were signed into microsoft and it still didn't work. I don't know if anyone else is dealing with this issue but i would really like to be able to play with my friends again.
