PS4 Multiplayer Minecraft Crashing

I play with my grandson on a PS4. As of late Minecraft started crashing every 5-10 minutes making the game agonizing to play. 

The crashing seems to occur the more we have and access chests, traders, etc.  Almost like the game has problems keeping up with the games various interfaces.  

I always report the error to Sony via the PS4. But now that the game, I paid for, is barely playable, I decide to make a more formal report. 

Please resolve else we will have to find a game that we can both play simultaneously.
