Same thing is happening to me. I just bought the game on my Microsoft account and it keeps saying I need to authenticate my Minecraft account. Lmk if you find a way to fix.
I figured it out, I just had to log out of my Microsoft account and log back in, that's on console though.
It can happen also if you are connected to a VPN ...
