Game doesn't won't load, crashes system/freezes

Nintendo Switch player. Open game to try and play, sometimes it will load the opening menu other times will get stuck loading that part in and I have to restart my system because it crashes it. When it does load up the starting menu screen, I select play and it enders a loading state that it never leaves. Freezes and crashes again. 
This started immediately after the latest small update, and I have been able to successfully play one time since then. 
I am a streamer and play on a realm with others that I try to stream once a week. This is currently impossible, not being able to even access the game at all.
