Vacation break

E3 predictions: for Smash, Palutena, Ness, Ice Climbers...Ridley? And NFP usage in some form. From Nintendo, almost certainly Zelda, and maybe Star Fox. I'm guessing Mario Maker is real. In a couple days, I can look back on this post and laugh about how inaccurate it is...

Matthew – Sunday, June 8, 2014, 11:00 PM

Well folks, everything's packed and ready to go. I'll be in LA for weeks, initially going for E3 and staying to visit family. We'll return on June 1st. In the meantime, why not give the new podcast a listen? It was recorded before Mario Kart 8's release, so it doesn't include the latest game in the series, but it should still give you some good times if you have a long car trip or something coming up.

[Act 1] Introduction (00:01) - Matthew gets somewhat carried away with improvising the impression this time around. It's based on a ridiculous newer cartoon.

[Act 2] Game Discussion--Mario Kart (Series) (01:20) - Take an adrenaline-fueled trip down memory lane as the boys discuss each Mario Kart release in order of appearance. Minus those weird arcade games, anyway...

[Act 3] Leftovers (44:12) - The game to "save the Wii U?" The boys dare to venture into this old discussion here. Also, Matthew sings the praises of Game & Wario's "Gamer" section.

[Act 4] Music Break: "Mario Kart Medley" (52:04)

[Act 5] Comic Talk: 545-550 (53:36) - Learn about Bowser's weird off-model muzzle, how Matthew admits part of this story was a cheat, and the thought process behind the somber "Plumber's Best Friend."

[Act 6] Digital Deconstruction: Safe Sequels (1:06:09) - Chris and Matthew go over the two main ways to craft a gaming sequel, and the benefits/downsides of each.

[Act 7] Closing Comments (1:25:49) - Ike is back in Smash. Kinda weird, eh? Next time around, E3 talk! Don't miss it!
