I'm kind of surprised I haven't done this joke yet. The Mario vs. DK series is one of those things that I never really hear anyone talk about. It's a little strange, being a sequel/spinoff to the original arcade DK, and it's got some clever gameplay in its Lemmings-styled puzzle action. But I gotta say, I kind of wish it just stayed on the path of 1994's Game Boy Donkey Kong. That game is one of my all-time favorites and seriously fun. In case you couldn't tell from today's strip, the Toy Mario idea feels kind of silly to me and came a bit out of left field.

I wonder if Bowser would want to join in on the fun with some Mecha Koopas...?
