Hah, this one's a little wild in retrospect. So what happened was--amidst all the Smash Bros. speculation at the time--there'd surfaced a couple of "leaked" images featuring Palutena and Mario. In fact, the first two panels of this comic are taken straight from those images. Now at the time, people weren't sure if it was real or fake; I obviously went ahead and bet on "real"...mostly because I felt it was a sure thing that Palutena would get in. Turns out, she was a newcomer, but the images themselves had been faked after all (using a new Palutena model made essentially from scratch). But either way, the comic still works! ...Except for the Ridley line. Oops.
