Today's comic went through a number of different punchlines. I liked the idea of Link's boomerang becoming undesirable to catch, but the original punchline of his hand getting burnt didn't seem to be punchy enough.
Eventually, I realized that this comic has had a lot of fire in it lately, so why the heck not? Smokey's appearance here feels even more outlandish than his original one (can he just freely warp between Nintendo worlds?). Remember, where there's Smokey...there's fire.
