Heh, I can almost hear the collective head-scratching.
This is one of those "current event" comics--on Wednesday, Square-Enix announced that Dragon Quest X would be on the Wii. Thus...the Slime is finally coming back to Nintendo! Granted, this had technically been confirmed with DQIX on the DS, but there's something huge about a home console version, you know?
So welcome home, Slime! It's good to have you back.
